The WHC is delighted to be helping long-time friend and collaborator, Leo, with promoting the Madcat Live Music Festival in the lush Herefordshire countryside at one of our favourite venues, Lyde Court, situated 2 miles outside the city of Hereford.

With Glastonbury taking a much-needed fallow year, Leo has curated a wonderful weekend, featuring many of the acts that have stormed the mother-of-all-festival’s Rocket Lounge stage over the years.

The programme (more details HERE)

With two stages, the weekend kicks off on the Friday night with a sensational, high-octane line-up of all-cylinders-firing rock ‘n’ roll, featuring the Forty Fours, Sister Suzie and the Black Kat Boppers. As a special treat, the legendary Gaz Mayall will also be on hand, spinning a mix of club classics.

Saturday features a more eclectic line-up headlined by The Alabama 3 in acoustic mode. A mix of local favourites - Los Squideros, The Breaks and the Tyler Massey Quartet – will be complemented by Paddy Steer, Dakka Skanks, Pronghorn and other acts from further afield.

Sunday will provide an opportunity to chill with mellow reggae tunes, including The Gabbidon Band (featuring Basil Gabiddon from Steel Pulse), with a slice of live jazz on the side.

Food and drink

Local vendors Bao to the Broth and Seb’s Cider will be on site providing street food and local organic ciders.

A substantial roast lunch will be available from the Lyde Court kitchen on the Sunday.

Camping

There is camping for tents, caravans and live in vehicles on site.

This costs £20/person for 1 night or £30/person for 2 nights and is booked separately through the venue here.

For Herefordians not wishing to camp, there will be a late night bus from the venue to the City centre leaving after the show.
