The Wild Hare Club is delighted to be hosting the first show of a mini-tour by the evocatively-named Ma Polaine's Great Decline to launch their new ep’ Small Town Talk’.  The rootsy duo, described as “like a young Billie Holiday gate-crashing a Tom Waits Swordfishtrombones recording session” have been gathering plenty of plaudits recently for their accomplished song-writing which takes in elements of jazz as well as blues and country. On stage, singer, Beth Packer, moves between double bass, accordion and harmonica, with partner Clinton Hough accompanying her powerful yet sensitive vocal on electric or acoustic guitar and an occasional percussive foot.

This performance is bound to be one of the highlights of the first six months of #livemusic Fridays held at De Koffie Pot and, as ever, brother/sister you don’t need to pay a dime to get in.
