Alan Tyler is special among the WHC performers and collaborators for several reasons including the fact that the bonhomie of his long-running London club ‘Come Down and Meet the Folks’, was one of the major inspirations for setting up the WHC in the first place. Best known as frontman of notorious Camden country rockers The Rockingbirds, Alan played an early WHC gig at The Priory with the equally stirring outfit Alan Tyler and the Lost Sons of Littlefield. More recently he has been playing with The Alan Tyler Show and has composed a suite of melodious songs inspired the River Thames, one reason for choosing him to perform at the 2016 River Carnival show.
